`E PREETHI` NOT HAPPENING IN PREETHIYINDHA!

Everything is not going in right order for the first time producers of ‘E Preethi’. The reasons for this are two persons – Diganth and Tejaswini the lead pair of the film. At the growing stage in career both are creating trouble and uprooting their career in Kannada films.

It is sailing against the wind for the team of ‘E Preethi’ with Diganth and Tejaswini abstaining from shooting with all the crew members ready for remaining 30 percent of shoot. Diganth locked in another film is causing deep trouble to the film ‘E Preethi’ it is learnt. Mr Narayana Hosmane is knocking doors to get his film completed and even seeking the intervention of Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce in this regard. Actress Thejaswini who was supposed to catch her flight on 23rd January did not so and the entire team in USA was waiting eagerly.

Now the production team at USA is seeking presence of Diganth and Tejaswini from 3rd of February for 15 days. For the Amrutha Mahotsava the lead pair of the team will be left free on 16th February says Narayan Hosmane a high ranking personality in the cancer research center in USA.

However in the last month the team of ‘E Preethi’ braving the freezing temperatures in one of the coldest winters in American history completed filming its first U.S.A schedule in Washington DC. Narayan Hosmane, Ramachandra Hosmane, Mahi Mahesh, Pradeep Bekal, Neetal Jagadeesh (US), Narayan Swamy (India) are the producers of the film that is unique in thoughts. Manan Singh Katohora is the executive producer.

Debutant director Priyabharati who lives in Washington DC captured scenes at the exotic locations of USA with backdrop of Christmas holiday spirit. In ‘E-Preethi’ Diganth Manchale plays Vishal, Tejaswini Prakash as Preeti, Bharath Kumar as Nik, and introducing Nina Mahesh as Neelu.

The film is a romantic comedy that addresses the complex inter-cultural issues that arise in relationships between Kannadiga immigrants from India, and Kannadigas who were raised in the US or who are a product of mixed marriages. One of the highlights of e-Preethi is an Ice Skating scene featuring Diganth Manchale and Tejaswini Prakash playfully romancing each other on the ice. The scene, which is a feast for the eyes, was in reality a challenge not only for the actors, but also for the entire crew who fought against the minus 20 degree temperatures.

Bharath Kumar and Nina Mahesh play the supporting leads in the e-Preeti, which also features local American Kannadigas playing additional supporting characters. One more interesting aspect is the diverse crew, consisting of Americans, Indians and other ethnicities.

‘E-Preethi’ is the first Indian film to be featured on the front page of The Washington Post – America’s Leading National Daily, and is generating a lot of interest from Print, TV and Online media in America.

Currently the production is on a break and the second USA schedule (where 3 songs will be shot) will start in the last week of January.

The script, screenplay and dialogues are written by Priyabharati, Paraag Shukla, Maya Harapanahalli. The lilting tunes are scored by Suchitra Lata.
